BLOOMINGTON, IN — Indiana University has just announced plans to begin offering the art of overly simplifying and talking down to other people as a second language for all those who aren’t quite sure what a man means when he is explaining something.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen I first came to IU from Yale, which is where I received my degree, Yale being a pretty well known school,\u201d said mansplaning expert Professor Manfred Jackman. \u201cI noticed that a lot of the women here tended to have trouble communicating with all of the men in their ivory towers. I hope that this course, mansplaining, which I am teaching, at IU, which is short for Indiana University, will help men and women develop a more rounded understanding of each other.\u201d<\/p>\n
Dr. Jackman compares mansplaining to a premade pie crust. According to Jackman, instead of struggling through the tedium of working your way through all the confusing steps of cooking a pie, a wife on the go can simply buy a crust and fill it with the testosterone rich foods that her man so craves.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have a lot of experience interacting with women,\u201d said Dr. Jackman. \u201cHaving worked as an administrator at a start of tech firm, I\u2019ve often encouraged my female employees to smile more and–just in general–feel more comfortable with their bodies.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to university officials, the class will count as a world culture’s credit, which they asked us to clarify as being a pre-requisite for most majors, meaning that you will have to take it in order to graduate.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
